In the production process of Mud Silk, the operations of soaking, sprinkling, sealing, boiling and washing are very complicated and delicate. A complete dyeing cycle of Mud Silk takes 15 days, but it will be prolonged and affected by weather, and the post-processing will take three months to half a year.

Because of the natural dyeing processes, it is now treated as National intangible cultural heritage.
