In recent years, people have started to admire the traditional dyeing process. Indigo dye is one of the oldest dyes.

In ancient times, indigo was extracted from plants. There are many plants that can be made into natural indigo: indigofera tinctoria (wood blue) from India; Indigofera suffruticosa (wood blue) from the United States and Japan’s Persicaria tinctorial (Polygonum blue), etc.

Although it is natural dyeing stuff, to have better dyeing effect and color fastness, the processes involved need many chemicals to help which hazards the workers’ health and polluting the environment.

With the help of Scientists, the dyeing processes and technique have greatly improved and reduced the use of harmful chemical and polluting the environment. Indigo dye become sustainable and going back to real natural again.
